North Central Area Credit Union in Houghton Lake is seeking a CFO to manage the financial objectives and policies for the credit union. The qualified candidate will report to the CEO and be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements for the executive team to review as well as managing the credit union investment portfolio and supervising the credit union accounting staff. The CFO will also have responsibility for working with the CEO and director of operations in developing and implementing the annual credit union strategic plans and budget. Other accountabilities will include managing the quarterly call report preparation, working with state examiners and financial auditors, and overseeing the credit union IT systems. This position requires bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience, experience in managing IT systems, and a minimum five years of credit union accounting experience with at least two years in a leadership position.
