We’re Celebrating Loyalty and Freedom at the 61st Loyalty Day Parade on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
In the heart of our beloved Standish, a tradition spanning over six decades continues to unite us in celebrating patriotism and community spirit. The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Post 3724 Auxiliary are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all North Central Area Credit Union members and our broader community to participate in the 61st Loyalty Day Parade. This event isn’t just a parade; it’s a reaffirmation of our loyalty to the United States and a heartfelt recognition of the rich heritage of American freedom we all share.
A Day of Unity and Celebration
This year, we’ll gather on Airpark Drive next to Ascension Standish Hospital. It will be a day filled with unity and celebration, featuring a tribute to the heroes whose sacrifices allow us to cherish the freedoms we hold dear. The parade assembly is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am for float judging, with the regular lineup commencing at 11:30 am. The parade will start at Noon, weaving its way to the Arenac Community Center at 583 E Cedar Street, concluding with a brief yet moving ceremony.
Embracing the Theme, “Faith & Love”
Embracing the “Faith & Love” theme, this year’s Loyalty Day Parade invites participants to showcase their creativity, patriotism, and community pride. Entries are welcome from individuals, families, businesses, organizations, churches, and schools. Let your imagination soar, and your patriotism shine!
Awards and Recognition
In the spirit of friendly competition, awards will be presented to the top parade entries in several categories, including:
- Best Youth Marching Unit
- Best Adult Marching Unit
- Best Commercial Float
- Best Patriotic Float
These awards will showcase each participant’s ingenuity, effort, and patriotic spirit.
