Superhero September Is Coming!

We are working diligently to bring you another amazing year and even more exciting events for 2025!
Get ready for the biggest NCACU event of the year! Superhero September, in collaboration with Put on the Cape: a Foundation of Hope, is our largest fundraiser, and we need your support to make a difference in the lives of children in need. This annual event helps us generate thousands of dollars to provide victimized children and their families with essential services, including counseling, medical care, clothing, bedding, and toys.
We are proud to support three incredible child advocacy centers: Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center: Serving Crawford, Iosco, Ogemaw, Otsego, Oscoda, and Roscommon Counties. CAN (Child Abuse and Neglect) Council: Supporting children in Arenac County. Kent County CAC (Children Advocacy Center): Serving children in Kent County.

Join our Virtual 5K!
Our Virtual 5K came to life during Covid, but we have kept it active for people who can’t make the Super Main Event and for Businesses that have wellness programs at work and want their employees to participate. You can donate when you register and then participate by dressing in your favorite superhero garb and running or walking in your own neighborhood at a time that is convenient to you. Use the Link Above and Choose Virtual 5K tickets!
Superhero September is an excellent opportunity for area businesses to get involved and support the community. Consider sponsoring an event or forming teams for the Golf Outing, Virtual and In-Person 5K Event, or Corn Hole Tournament. It’s a fantastic team-building opportunity and a great way to give back. At the Super Main Event, we will also have a show from the Michigan Competitive Corvette Club, Touch a truck event with local police, Fire, and EMS, a concert with Gary Dixon–A Frank Sinatra impersonator, and games, face painting and food. Come on out!
People Helping People
At North Central, we believe in the power of community and the importance of everyone’s involvement. How you choose to participate isn’t as important as being part of this wonderful cause. We care. We ARE North Central, and we’d love to see you as any of our events.
